Today I’m gonna tell you a quotation that was actually from a advertisement called “1984” which was made by the Apple Company during the year 1984.
So first let’s just take a look at the ad.

So, “and you will see why 1984 won’t be like “1984””. What does that mean？ Why 1984 instead of 1840 ? Why would I choose this sentence that even a primary student could understand completely to share with you guys today?
Because of its strong backgrounds and how remarkable this ad have made to the 18s people.
In order to explain it well, let’s start with its background.
Does anybody know about a book called “1984” ?
In this novel, the writer had created a whole virtual world which was totally controlled by the main government (just like us). The harmful things of the collectivism had shown to all the readers and made they left a deep impression in this novel. They don’t want it really happen in their real life.
So Apple actually made a commercial that people had already know about it. And do you still remember the woman that threw a hammer to the screen? That obviously represent apple itself-- to challenge the old rules, break them and bring new stuff. To let all the people that had been controlled went like this(act) turn into their real characters.
That was just way too persuasive and effective.
And by the way, the IBM’s PC(personal computer) was no doubt to be the king of the PC’s world at that time period, though it’s pretty expensive and worked slow indeed. So this Ad also suggested that Apple gonna give IBM an big punch.

Finally, with these strong backgrounds, Apple surely can use a really simple sentence to affect people’s mind, let them go crazy.
So here comes my point: no quotations could be more simple than this, but those complex quotations had never done so remarkable to the society than this one. You just have to choose the right time, and say the right word. That’s all you have to do. Thx
